Keratin Nails™ was brought to life by Jiye Son, who combines her decade-long experience as a nail technician with her scientific expertise as a PhD chemist.

In her own words, Jiye shares, "I wear nail polish every single day even knowing how harmful this stuff is for me. I can either choose to accept what is considered our norm or choose to create our solutions. Keratin Nails is an opportunity to apply my scientific expertise in changing the course of this 100-year-old nail polish industry that has a significant impact on my life."

Jiye, is a first-generation Korean-American who advocates for STEM education and entrepreneurship as advocates for positive social change.

As a proud alumna of the City University of New York (CUNY), she stays connected with her community, mentoring students to transform their scientific breakthroughs into entrepreneurial ventures like Keratin Nails™.
